Jersey, Channel Islands Pony-Doping Scandal Continues Update:

Jersey, Channel Islands B.S.J.A  Ban Kim Baudains over Pony-doping scandal.

Kim Baudains the suspect in the pony-doping Jersey, Channel Islands saga has now been banned from local events for four years, by way of a secret ballot at an extraordinary General Meeting of the B.S.J.A on the evening of 15th of November 2007

Members of the Jersey branch of the B.S.J.A it was reported in last nights Jersey Evening post that they and I quote ‘turned out in force to vote in a secret ballot’. End quote:

Apparently her son Josh who is 13 will not be affected by his mothers ban.

Kin Baudains father Basil Carrè reportedly asked the association if they were and I quote what I heard on the Channel TV News quote: ‘Insured for any compensation claims that may follow’ end quote:  I can only assume that Basil Carrè may be considering taking legal action if the rumoured to be civil action case against his daughter goes ahead and does not end in a conviction against her, because rightly or wrongly what this ban would appear to have done in reality is impose a punishment for a crime upon Kim Baudains that has yet to be proven against in any court of law.  However, the B.S.J.A chairman David Robinson said and I quote from the Jersey Evening post article, Quote: ’We took legal advice on this matter before holding the egm and we believe we did nothing wrong’ end quote:

Below is a copy of the letter I submitted to the Jersey Evening Post for their letters section sent by email on the 9th of  November 2007:

Start letter :

Many crimes against me were investigated by the States Police in the 1980's? They have a huge file on them, along with the Honary Police. I lived the life equivalent to that of a Dick Francis novel victim/detective.

It was reported in the Jersey Evening Post that The Jersey branch of the B.S.J.A are to hold a secret ballot at an extraordinary general meeting, proposing that Mrs. Kim Baudains being the person who is alleged to have committed the pony-doping crime be banned from the B.S.J.A   Jersey showground for four years, with the same thing applying to any membership application from her during this time period.  Whether this would apply to B.S.J.A showground’s elsewhere hasn’t been said, so if for example if you happen to be a B.S.J.A member in any area in England it is possible that this woman even if banned in Jersey could join up and be on any showground anywhere except Jersey..

The ballot has yet to be taken, and as no one has actually been convicted in a court of the crimes, although it is highly rumoured on the Jersey Grapevine to be only a matter of time before a civil court case is initiated, until this actually happens which way  the members of the Jersey B.S.J.A vote is anyone’s guess, Should they vote not to ban this woman for her alleged crimes,  what happens if she is convicted in a civil case in the future is unsure, will the Jersey B.S.J.A then ban her or not? This is of course if she is not banned. Is a four year ban enough or should it be a life time ban for this unacceptable crime of the person and or any of their relatives if convicted in court not a more acceptable option in your opinion?

End letter:

I received a reply from the Jersey Evening post from the editor saying that he did not propose to publish my letter on the 17th of November 2007 dated the 16th of November 2007 saying my letter had been overtaken by events and was no longer relevant.  I just presume that the Jersey Evening post must have had an overload of letters to go through and five days wasn’t enough time for them to get round to reading or publishing mine.

Oh well I will be watching this pony-doping case and will report as and when anything happens in the future.
