Carol one of my friends on Yahoo put a challenge on the internet. So today I took up her challenge, below is the result. Enjoy and have a lovely day!
Note:
There is a link so you can join in with the writing challenge if you would like
to, near the bottom of this page.

Our love was true and pure... smiling as he walked through the door; his face wrinkled with age was none the less handsome in my eyes than it had been some 40 odd years previous when our eyes had first met.
The soft, warm orange glow filtered through the window...and there was still passion in our hearts as we sat entwined together in front of the log fire, memories of our past together silently milled over in our minds eyes.
I stood on the side of the road unable to move and watched as the tragic...events unfolded within my head, and I clearly remembered the day we lost our baby, he would have been thirty today, Christmas had never been the same since the day we lost him.
Her fingers picked through the paper carefully...Our beautiful daughter with her long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes having joined us in the room as I opened my eyes was looking through the evening newspaper, she found it and read out our remembrance piece for her brother at the back of the paper, it was sad but also heart-warming as she read it with such emotion, how sad that they would never spend a Christmas together, yet part of him would always live on in her as they were soo alike, as it would between them all.
We heard them begin to sing outside and I felt...an overwhelming emotional release out of the blue, as me the mother, father and daughter listened arm in arm to the carol singers at their front door, joining in with the singing with the spirit of Christmas in their hearts, with a New Year yet to come. Looking up into the sky I'm sure I saw my little angle sitting swinging on a star, happy carefree and looking down at us with love.
I've have accepted Carol's Random Writing Challenge. Anyone who loves to write can join! You don't have to 'know someone' or be in a clique to join the challenge. Any individual who sees the challenge and wants to write can do so. It's THAT easy! Don't be shy. Get out your writing gear, follow the directions of the challenge, write your piece, post it in your blog, come back to the challenge blog and post your permanent link that you have finished it, add this paragraph to the end of your challenge so yourself and others can link back to the originating blog and sit back and enjoy reading. Many people love to read from challenge to challenge and look forward to posting their comments on other people's work. Remember no drama and if you don't have something nice to say, please just keep your opinions to yourself.
Ok so I didn't stick to Carol's rules, but then she did say there were not any? So I used all the storylines and turned them into one story. I hope you enjoyed the final result. It is based on some facts out of my life.
