News:
The Lunchtime Demonstration in the Royal square
Jersey, Channel Islands went well. The speakers were preventing from
starting their speeches though on the order of the Bailiff of Jersey Sir
Philip Bailhache, apparently because he didn't want to hear the speakers
while he was eating his lunch, he didn't in actual fact have the legal
right to do this, and I personally would have quite happily gone ahead
with my speech if I had been requested to, as it is my right to speak
out. However the start was delayed by 45 minuets, it is my personal strong suspicion that Sir Philip Bailhache only did this to stop people who had to go back to work from hearing what the speakers had to say! I have put a copy of the leaflet that was being handed out in the Royal square today, for those who would like to see it and might not have managed to get a copy today, due to being unable to attend for any reason, as obviously some people would have been at work. Feel free to copy and print out from this page.
I do hope that everyone who reads the list of the members now known as the G.S.T Party, will keep a copy of the list in order to no who not to vote for at the next elections in October and November 2008. Join up to Time 4 Change Jersey Click to join Time4ChangeJersey have your say!

Jersey rights, just what are the rights of the indigenous Jersey Born people, to be honest with you not a lot.
Jersey has a multi cultural population, and the indigenous Jersey Born people now are in the minority, for want of a better expression pure (pure = a person's parents and grandparents being Jerseyborn) Jerseyborn people have and are being sold down the river by their government ‘The States of Jersey’.
A typical example of this is this fact of inequality between E.U. Nationals being allowed into Jersey and pure Jersey born people going to the E.U. Please see links to go to detailed article on this or. click here
The States of Jersey would appear to be hell bent on following what the British Government is doing when it suits their purpose (whatever that might be?) This in a lot of cases is against the wishes of the majority of its island residents. Jersey is self governed but you would not know it by some of the actions of The States of Jersey.
The people of Jersey have no desire to follow some of the stupid actions that the British Government has and some of those actions could possibly take England into a civil war, please see links my article on this or Click Here
Everything is now overly Politically correct and the people of Jersey (meaning the man/woman on the street) are sick to the back teeth of living in what the majority of them feel is a dictatorship rather that a democratic society. They are frightened to speak out and I have heard people comment ‘Oh I don’t want to be on the black list’ or ‘I don’t want the repercussions, they will get you if you speak out!’
I was one of the 11000 people who walked through ‘Queens Valley’ in Jersey with David Bellamy in protest at having it flooded to provide another reservoir. I personally clocked plain clothed Police Officers taking down note of car registration numbers of all the cars parked there. This speaks for itself, nice little black list going on there in my opinion.
The ‘Human rights (Jersey) law 2000 has still to be fully implemented, even though it has been approved by The States of Jersey. Please see links if you would like to read the law or Click Here
Now the Jersey Consumer Council has just issued a newsletter (Issue thirty five) Click here to read it in full. or from the links on the left of this page. and I quote from this issue start Quote ‘
G.S.T for those of you who do not live in Jersey is the equivalent of V.A.T. and no-one I know in the island wants it introduced, it isn’t needed.
The only reason The States of Jersey dictators want it is so they can waste more of our money on stupid things like ‘Steam Clocks’ suitable only for Disneyland in America, ‘refurbishment updates’ such as removing beautiful old Jersey Granit buildings/structures that should have been under a protection order, like the Granit toilets in Broad street and replacing it with a Café. The West Park Pavilion replacing it with grotesque flats that look like the old German look outs or Cylons ships for those who watch Battle Star Galactica on TV. Replacing the wonderful cobble granite stone streets with flat pack excrement, as they have in French Lane (also know as Hillgrove Street) which is taking the real character out of Jersey. I could go on into infinity about the really insane things The States of Jersey have wasted our money on, and continue to do so, but I won’t because I am sure you get the picture.
If you can please do join up in the Royal square on the 8th of September. I don’t know any more than you do if doing so will have any impact on stopping them bringing in G.S.T but we have to try!
It is the fact that The States of Jersey couldn’t care less what those who elected them actually elected them to do. Everyone says ‘Once they get into the States they just join in with the click and nothing will every change’. In order for things to change the people have to use people power in order to make them listen and act upon our wishes, if you don’t then nothing will every change.
The Apathy in Jersey is dreadful, people are leaving the Island right left and centre, the real Jersey people that is or those who have been here for a long time and actually paid into the system. In 1999 when I stood for election in the Parish of St Peter Jersey, I called what I could see happening ‘The Culling of the Jerseyman’. This is of course Politically incorrect, one can refer to the Jerseycow as a Jerseycow, but you must not call a Jerseyman a Jerseyman or refer to people who are Jersey born or of long standing residency in the island as Local, well I say BS to that.
Things have not changed in Jersey since 1999, they are just getting worse. Did you know that a Jerseyman who is born in the island has to wait 10 years to be legally residentially qualified to live in the island, and yet The States of Jersey in their wisdom intend to drop the residential qualified period for those coming into the island to five years, mind-boggling isn’t it!
The politicians in the island need to wake up and listen to the people! Some residence believe that the only way things might change is if they have a revolution, in Countries like France they would have been hung draw and quartered by now! |
